Weekly Topics:
Reading:
finding the main idea in paragraphs and across whole stories. Using the main idea concept to keep our writing concentrated on the specific topics and not wandering in our thinking and writing.
Spelling:
Our new spelling pattern is words with Long U sounds. Our test will be on Thursday, September 17
Language:
Sentence structure. Can your child write a complete sentence with details and punctuation? Encourage your child to write in full ideas and to correct their spelling.
Math:
Finding patterns in numbers using our four basic operations. Creating a rule written in words and symbols to represent the pattern.
Example: 2, 6,18, __ ; the next number would be 54 because our rule is to multiply each number by 3. In symbols that would be n*3. n standing for any number that we want to use or could use.

9/11 PTA bike rodeo Sandy Police Department will be doing a safety course on bikes and helmets. A company will be here doing bike tune ups. Make sure to ride/bring your bike and helmet on Friday! 9/11 Student Council 1st meeting immediately after school for our 4 class representatives9/21 CBM day
